Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party part 1

So like the MNSSHP that I mentioned in my previous blog, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event that takes part in the Magic Kingdom in November and December every year. In 2011 I went on the 6th of December and this is what I saw in the park. Again with the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party the party starts at 7pm but you can enter the park from 4pm with your ticket at a special entrance where they will give you a wristband to show you have a ticket for the party:
Like the Halloween party again all Seven Dwarves meet together and the Halloween party and Christmas party are two of the only times that this happens so it is worth queuing to get a picture if you are into that sort of thing. However queue early. When I went they met near Splash Mountain. I started queuing at 5.30 and was second in line. By the time 7pm came around the cast member told us that the line was going all the way back down to the bridge of Splash Mountain and that the people back there would have an hours wait and that was before the party started. The dwarves came out ten minutes early when I went as well so by 7 I was done with them and could move on to the rest of the party events.
You'll see in the pictures that the Dwarves meet in a Christmas themed outfit as well. This is the same with all the characters I saw that night. Abu and Aladdin were meeting in Adventureland with Christmas scarves on.
Abu and Aladdin were swapping over with Jasmine and the Genie through-out the night as well. In town hall the Princesses were meeting with their princes I didn't go see them because the wait time for them was an hour all night but I did go see Mickey and Minnie who were in their Christmas best as well:

Like the Halloween party as well there is special merchandise that you can only buy on party nights at MVMCP. I didn't see much the night I was there other than pins and t-shirts:

The balloons were Christmas themed as well:
At MNSSHP guests get to dress up and trick or treat which is one of the best things about the Halloween party. Unfortunately besides wearing a Santa hat and Christmassy t-shirt or jumper guests can't dress up for the Christmas party however they do have free treats around the park. It's not trick or treating but they have Christmas cookies, apple slices, hot chocolate and apple juice in various different locations as you go around the park. Like MNSSHP there are character dance parties for MVMCP. In the Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland, Woodie, Jessie and Bullseye have their dance party:
The better dance party on the night for me was in Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland. Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale were all at this party dancing with guests and this was more like a teen/older Disney fan disco than a copy the dance children's dance party. There was cast members going around dressed up as elves at this one as well and cast members and Dale were giving out candy canes to anyone that came into the party, plus Goofy had his Santa suit on:

In the Magic Kingdom at Christmas time they put thousands of lights on the castle and hold a castle lighting ceremony every night, MVMCP is also another chance to see this show and the castle lit up:
