Celebrate A Dream Come True

This week I read that the Celebrate a Dream come true parade is in its final few months in Walt Disney World. It is to run up until mid December when it will be retired and replaced in March 2014 with the new Festival of Fantasy Parade.

I loved the Celebrate a Dream come true parade but then I love all the Disney parades. The first time I saw it in 2010 it was pouring rain and was rumoured to be cancelled for the day because of the rain but it came out anyway and was possibly one of the best parades I’ve ever seen in Disney as the rain just seemed to make it more magical. It was also the first time I saw the Muppet characters anywhere. They came out just before the parade to celebrate the voluntears programme Disney was running at the time.

The Princesses all had umbrellas to protect them from the rain.

I saw the parade again in 2011 and couldn’t help notice how much the walking characters interacted with the crowd.

Pluto came over to the girls beside us.

On the other side a child had a massive lollipop that Stitch tried to steal.

Captain Hook came over to me, I was wearing Tinkerbell lanyard with Tinkerbell pins on; he picked them up to look and dropped them like a hot potato and wagging his finger at me in disgust. Smee had a look after Hook as well. Was kinda a cool little extra with the parade.

I loved the hidden details in some of the floats as well like on the Pinocchio float I spotted a hidden partners statue at the side of the float.

I loved the music from the parade as well it was so catchy:

Celebrate a Dream Come True,
And you might just find a wish for you,
When you close your eyes
Then you realise,
Any dream is possible.

Legacies and childhood wishes,
Watch them all come true,
Forever like a picture in your mind.
Make a wish,
Unlock your memories,
Look inside your heart,
And find the dream that’s waiting there for you.

Can you see it?
When you close your eyes.
It’s the magic of a dream inside of you.
So believe in all you wish,
Believe in all you wish,
Believe in all you wish will come to you.

Celebrate a Dream Come True,
With another waiting just for you
In this magic place,
C’mon Celebrate,
Celebrate the dream inside of you,
A dream that just came true.

There are so many Disney movies out there and I noticed the last few years the releases have a number on the side of the DVD. There's 53 animated classics from Disney and this doesn't include the likes of Bedknobs and broomsticks or the pixar movies.
